Headteacher's PA - Lewisham - SEMH Secondary SchoolFull-Time - Immediate Start Veritas are working with an incredible SEMH Secondary School in Lewisham. The school are looking for an experienced PA to start immediately.Main responsibilities but not limited to:
- To undertake high-level support to the Head Teacher to undertake a range of further secretarial responsibilities as required
- To use high level administration and organisation skills in order to provide a secretarial service to the SLT and the school in general
- To receive and action all incoming e-mail within a reasonable timescale
- To provide administrative support for Personnel matters including interviews, appointments, contracts and references
- To provide, when necessary, a confidential secretarial service to other members of the Senior Leadership Team
- To liaise with all stake holders, with tact and diplomacy
- To prepare and undertake all administrative tasks to facilitate student exclusions and ensure appropriate persons are notified which includes liaising with parent/carers, and others as directed by the Head Teacher
- To act as first point of contact in dealing with complaints as appropriate. To record all complaints ensuring these are fielded appropriately and issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently, and that an accurate record is maintained
- To act as first point of contact in dealing with freedom of information requests and to record and to pass them on to the Head Teacher to delegate where appropriate
- To take minutes at staff meetings, weekly briefing, and SLT meetings
- To organise refreshments for hospitality events as directed by the Head Teacher.
- To assist when necessary in the organisation of whole school events; Celebration,Welcome and Open Evening, etc.
- To maintain an in-depth knowledge of the general operations, procedures and processes, ensuring that advice and guidance is readily available to others both internally and externally
- To liaise with Governors on a regular basis, ensuring they are kept informed of all relevant school events.
Essential experience: - Good knowledge and understanding of relevant administration software packages - Knowledge and experience of diary management using Google or Outlook - Knowledge of management information systems
Desirable experience: - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience as a high level PA for a period of 2 years. - Knowledge and experience of using cloud-based admin systems - First aid The school is located near various bus and train routes.If you are available immediately and have a valid DBS please contact Harry and send your CV to - hconnor@veritas-education.com.
