Job Title: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Location: West Drayton, London
Salary: £170+ per day (DOE)
Contract: Full-time (term-time only)

Role Overview:We are seeking a passionate and experienced SENCO to work with our client our who is an established alternative provision. As the SENCO, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all students with additional needs receive the appropriate support to help them succeed. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create and implement effective strategies tailored to each student's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the school's SEN policy.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to identify students with additional needs and develop appropriate interventions.
- Monitor and track the progress of students with SEN, ensuring they receive the necessary support.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and specialists to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines regarding special educational needs.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and understanding within the school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant SENCO qualification.
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant educational legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
