Role Overview: As an Educational Support Worker, you'll play a crucial role in our student's journey toward success. You'll work closely with individuals and small groups, providing tailored support to address their specific needs and challenges. Whether it's assisting with academic coursework, offering emotional guidance, or facilitating positive social interactions, your dedication and compassion will make a lasting impact on our student's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, both in academic and personal development areas.
- Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure ongoing success.
- Actively promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through encouragement, guidance, and role modelling.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues alike.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude towards addressing challenges and embracing opportunities for growth.
- Relevant qualifications in education, care, psychology, or related fields are advantageous.
