Job Advertisement: Level 3 Early Years Practitioner (Term Time Only)
Location: New Farnley, Leeds
Hours: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Contract: Permanent
Are you passionate about working with young children and dedicated to providing high-quality care and education? my client is a small, family-run nursery in New Farnley, Leeds, offering a warm and nurturing environment for 2-5-year-olds. Their nursery prides itself on delivering exceptional care and support to families, and we are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their a team.
About the Role:
As a valued member of our nursery, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day care and education of our young children. We are looking for a kind and caring individual with at least 2 years of experience working with toddlers. You will need to come in ready to make a difference, using your knowledge and skills to contribute to the nursery's high standards.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience in carrying out the Key Person role, including observing, assessing, and planning for children's learning and development.
- Be confident in working with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring each child receives the individual attention they need.
- Be able to establish strong relationships with children, parents, and the wider nursery team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Act as a Key Person, providing tailored care and support to individual children.
-Carry out observations and assessments in line with the EYFS.
-Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
-Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
-Communicate effectively with parents and carers to share updates on children's progress.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a nursery setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and experience in carrying out the Key Person role.
- Passion for working with young children and a kind, patient nature.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
