About the Role:
Our client is seeking a caring and experienced Room Leader to join their nursery teams in Leeds, Wakefield, and Harrogate. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a room, ensuring that children are well cared for and engaged in fun activities that support their learning and development. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for early years education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Room: Take charge of the day-to-day running of your room, creating a happy, safe, and welcoming environment for children.
- Care for Children: Oversee the care of children aged 0-5, addressing their emotional, physical, and educational needs.
- Plan Activities: Organize and plan fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.
- Support the Team: Guide and support your team, ensuring that staff understand their roles and collaborate effectively.
- Build Relationships: Foster strong relationships with the children, their parents, and your colleagues.
- Health & Safety: Ensure that health, safety, and safeguarding standards are maintained at all times in your room.
- Daily Reporting: Keep records of children's development and communicate updates to parents and senior staff.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a senior or Room Leader role.
- Leadership Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Caring Attitude: A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth.
- DBS Check: A valid DBS check (or the willingness to apply for one).
