Position: Mechanic Instructor Location: Croydon Salary: Negotiable with the School
Are you an experienced mechanic instructor with a passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Our dynamic SEMH secondary school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team. If you are driven to make a positive impact on the lives of young people, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to SEMH students.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Monitor and report on student progress and development.
- Develop the mechanics teaching area and curriculum.
Requirements:
- Proven experience instructing mechanics is required.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience teaching BTEC (entry to Level 1 Qualification).
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people with SEMH needs.
- Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications.
- Experience teaching KS4 to KS5 students.
Preferred:
- Qualified status is welcomed but open to unqualified instructors with essential experience.
