Location: East LeedsStart Date: SeptemberSalary: £90-£100 per dayEmployment Type: Full-Time, Long Term/Permanent positions availableJob Description:We are seeking a dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Educational Support Assistant to join our primary schools from September in the East Leeds area. This role involves supporting students with complex needs through group work, targeted interventions, and behaviour support. You will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing environment to help students thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support to students with complex SEMH needs
- Conduct group work and intervention sessions
- Implement behaviour support strategies
- Create and maintain a nurturing and supportive environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support student progress
- Monitor and report on the progress of students
Requirements:- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- Strong understanding of behaviour support techniques
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to nurturing the emotional and academic development of students
