Inclusion Support Worker
Position: Inclusion Support Worker (Behaviour)
Areas Covered: South Leeds, Central Leeds, East Leeds
Start Date: September
Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm positions available
About the Role:We are seeking dedicated Inclusion Support Workers to join our team in various schools across South, Central, and East Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:- Group Work and Intervention: Lead and participate in group activities designed to support students' social and emotional development.
- Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in managing the classroom and providing tailored support to students with complex behavioural needs.
- Individual Support: Work one-on-one with students to help them engage with the curriculum and manage their behaviour.
- Collaborative Planning: Work with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
Requirements:- Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEMH and ASD is advantageous but not essential. Training will be provided.
- Skills: Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills are essential. The ability to manage challenging behaviour and adapt to the needs of different students is crucial.
- Commitment: A genuine passion for working with children and helping them to achieve their full potential.
