Teaching Assistant
- Position: Teaching Assistant
- Location: Poplar
- Hours: Full-Time, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Contract: Ongoing into 2025
- Start Date: After Half-Term, 3rd June
Are you an experienced teaching assistant with a passion for supporting children's education and well-being? An Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Poplar is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant.
About the Teaching Assistant Role: This is a unique opportunity to work as a full-time general teaching assistant where you will play a crucial role in both the classroom environment and the child's individual learning journey.
Key Responsibilities for Teaching Assistant:
- Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation.
- Provide 1-1 support for children with SEN
- Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the needs of the visually impaired student.
- Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working within the education sector is essential.
- Experience working with visually impaired children is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
- An enhanced DBS on the online update service.
