About Veritas Education:Veritas Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a local school in Oswaldtwistle. We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom and ensuring a conducive learning environment.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to classroom activities.
  • Providing support to pupils with challenging behavior.
  • Supervising and assisting pupils throughout the school day.
  • Planning and delivering work programmes and assessing children's development.
  • Working effectively as part of a team to support the educational and personal development of pupils.
  • Communicating effectively with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of working with children and in a relevant classroom/service environment.
  • Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities.
  • Administrative skills and experience.
  • Ability to relate well to children and parents/carers.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly.
  • Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage and strategies for numeracy and literacy.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • ICT proficiency.
  • Ability to assess children's development and make effective use of ICT.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Support and uphold the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Personal Attributes:

  • Flexible attitude to work.
  • Commitment to undertake in-service development.
  • Satisfactory attendance record and commitment to regular attendance at work.
