About Veritas Education:Veritas Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a local school in Oswaldtwistle. We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in the classroom and ensuring a conducive learning environment.
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to classroom activities.
- Providing support to pupils with challenging behavior.
- Supervising and assisting pupils throughout the school day.
- Planning and delivering work programmes and assessing children's development.
- Working effectively as part of a team to support the educational and personal development of pupils.
- Communicating effectively with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience of working with children and in a relevant classroom/service environment.
- Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities.
- Administrative skills and experience.
- Ability to relate well to children and parents/carers.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly.
- Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage and strategies for numeracy and literacy.
- First Aid Certificate.
- ICT proficiency.
- Ability to assess children's development and make effective use of ICT.
- Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
- Support and uphold the Catholic ethos of the school.
Personal Attributes:
- Flexible attitude to work.
- Commitment to undertake in-service development.
- Satisfactory attendance record and commitment to regular attendance at work.
