**About Us:**We are excited to announce an opportunity to join one of our esteemed secondary education partner schools in Bradford as a Pastoral Leader. Our partner schools are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.

**Role Overview:**The Pastoral Leader will play a pivotal role in supporting students' well-being, ensuring a safe and inclusive school environment, and promoting positive behavior and attendance. You will be responsible for the pastoral care of students, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students' emotional, social, and academic needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**- **Student Welfare:** Provide direct support to students on personal, social, and academic issues. Develop and implement strategies to enhance student well-being and resilience.- **Behavior Management:** Lead initiatives to promote positive behavior and manage challenging behavior effectively. Work with students to set goals and track progress.- **Attendance Monitoring:** Oversee student attendance, identifying and addressing issues of persistent absenteeism. Implement interventions and support mechanisms to improve attendance rates.- **Safeguarding:** Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures. Act as a point of contact for safeguarding concerns, working with designated safeguarding leads.- **Parental Engagement:** Engage with parents and carers to support students' progress and well-being. Provide updates and involve them in decision-making processes regarding their child's education.- **Team Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to coordinate support for students. Lead pastoral team meetings and contribute to the overall pastoral strategy of the school.- **Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and interventions. Monitor and report on pastoral issues and trends to senior leadership.

**Essential Requirements:**- Previous experience in a pastoral, welfare, or educational support role.- Strong understanding of the challenges facing young people in secondary education.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and empathy.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.

**Desirable Qualifications:**- Relevant qualifications in education, counseling, or social work.- Experience working within a secondary school environment.- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
