If so we are seeking dedicated individuals like you to join our team as a Teaching Assistant.

Our School is a renowned educational institution committed to providing outstanding education and support to students with a range of complex needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in our inclusive learning environment, collaborating with a team of professionals to enhance the educational experience of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs in a classroom setting.
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons, under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Adapt teaching materials and activities to meet individual needs, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all students.
  • Support students with personal care and additional requirements, fostering independence and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Forge positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional well-being and academic progress.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher, therapists, and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

  • You must be willing to attend a registration interview
  • Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
