Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with SEMH needs? We're currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and forward-thinking SEMH school in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced, enthusiastic, and resilient, ready to support students facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

???? Your Role:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to provide targeted support and interventions. You'll play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and personal development across the school.

???? Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs

  • Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students

  • Support teaching staff in managing challenging behaviour in class

  • Develop positive relationships to improve student engagement and well-being

  • Help students develop coping strategies, social skills, and self-regulation techniques

  • Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies as required

  • Maintain accurate behaviour records and contribute to care/support plans

  • Assist in creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all pupils

  • ✅ Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in schools, with challenging behaviour, or in mental health/psychology settings

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong understanding of SEMH and behavioural needs

  • Resilient, calm and committed under pressure

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - or willingness to obtain a new one
