Job Title: Level 3 Nursery Practitioner Location: Southwark, London Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP
Veritas Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery in Southwark. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join their committed team and provide outstanding care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning and development, fostering a safe and nurturing environment, and contributing to a strong team ethos. The nursery promotes a child-centred approach and places a strong emphasis on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality early years education and care
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Observe and assess children's progress in line with EYFS requirements
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Build effective relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Act as a Key Person for a group of children
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
- Sound understanding of the EYFS and child development
- Experience working within an early years setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and professional attitude
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through Veritas)
