Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Reception class Location: Blackburn Start Date: September 2025
Job Description: We are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception with autism and delayed development. You will work closely with the child, providing tailored support to aid their learning and development, including behaviour management strategies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with non-verbal children and those with delayed development
- Strong understanding of autism and behaviour management techniques
- Relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
