SEMH Teaching Assistant
Pay: £90-£110 per day
Full-time/ Term Time only
Redbridge, East London
We are currently working with an SEMH setting school in Redbridge who are searching for compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible and to stay for the next academic year.
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant you will be working with children who face challenges in managing their emotions and behaviours. You will be able to demonstrate and implement behaviour management techniques both inside the classroom and around the education settings. This position requires experience working in a special education needs setting or school, training or experience in behaviour management strategies and communication levels.
SEMH Teaching Assistant The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to student with SEMH needs
- Support with classroom activities, including maintaining a calm and structured environment.
- Helping students develop key life skills, including self-regulation, problem-solving and communication.
SEMH Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- A DBS on the update service (We can advise on this) (Essential)
- Experience working with SEMH/SENCO/Complex Needs Students with challenging behaviour
- Team Teach Certificate or MAPA training (Within the last 2 years) (Ideal). - Veritas Education do offer additional training for successful candidates.
