Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teachers to work across a variety of secondary schools in Burnley and the surrounding areas. We have flexible opportunities available ranging from short-term cover assignments to longer-term placements, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers looking to secure rewarding work.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities may also be available)
- Plan, prepare and assess students' work in line with the national curriculum
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Uphold school policies and maintain high standards of behaviour management
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for raising attainment and supporting student achievement
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
