Veritas Education are working with a cluster of schools within the Harrogate and North Yorkshire area looking for both full time and part time Early Years/Primary SEN teachers.
The school have a number of current vacancies and teaching gaps across their early years and primary classes, where they are requiring experienced and confident SEN teachers for long term and daily cover.
The Schools:
The schools Veritas Education are working with support children from 4 to 19 years old, with a range of learning, complex, physical, medical, communication and sensory requirements. With specialist facilities and staffing team, they have created a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment to meet the needs of all children and young people who attend the school.
The Role:
The schools are needing a teacher who:
- Is experienced when it comes to teaching, planning and delivering to a range of learning and complex needs across primary and early years age groups.
- Previous experience teaching Early Years and Primary classes is essential, ideal for anyone looking to transition from mainstream teaching into an SEN role.
- Knowledgeable around Early Years development, Early Years Framework and SEND within Early Years learning.
- Be able to deliver and teach to a range of needs and abilities, including learners with sensory requirements, communication needs (pre and non-verbal learners) and complex disabilities.
- Adaptable - Be able to adapt the teaching style to different learner abilities across early years and primary age groups, delivering a fun, interactive and development focus lesson.
- Work alongside classroom support staff, SLT and medical professionals to help all learners access each remit of their education.
Requirements:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status, preferably within Early Years or Primary teaching.
- Previous experience teaching EY and Primary age groups is essential.
- Previous roles in teaching special educational and complex needs is preferred.
- Hold a valid child and adult DBS enhanced check (Veritas can advise on this).
- Be open to either full time or part time teaching roles.
