Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in secondary education?
Veritas Education is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of secondary schools across Bury and Rochdale. These roles offer both short-term and long-term opportunities, with immediate starts available for the right candidates.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Experience in a secondary school setting is desirable
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred, or willingness to obtain one
