Do you have experience working with children and young people with special needs?

We're working with a specialist SEN school in Lambeth that is urgently looking for a confident, resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student with Down's Syndrome.

If you have experience working with students with Down's Syndrome or other SEN needs and and want to make a genuine impact as an SEN Teaching Assistant, this is a fantastic opportunity where no two days are the same.

What you'll be doing as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting a student with Down's Syndrome in various lessons
  • Providing personal care support, including changing and managing an ostomy bag when required.
  • Help to create a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams
  • What we need from you:

  • Experience with Down's Syndrome, SEN, youth work, or similar
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A calm, resilient, and proactive approach
  • Available to start work at short notice
