Veritas Education is working in partnership with a friendly primary school in Nelson, Lancashire, to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
The Role

As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will plan and deliver an engaging curriculum while supporting pupils as they develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.

- Has experience teaching Year 2 or within Key Stage 1
- Has a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
- Plans and delivers creative, engaging and purposeful lessons
- Sets high expectations for behaviour, progress and achievement
- Can adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND
- Builds positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Creates a calm, nurturing and engaging classroom environment
- Works effectively as part of a supportive school team
- Is enthusiastic, organised and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children
