Newcastle upon Tyne | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
Pay £95-£105 p/day
Veritas Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across a highly regarded specialist provision in Newcastle.
We are recruiting for opportunities across a number of specialist settings supporting pupils from Early Years through to Post-16. Roles are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, with opportunities ranging from short-term supply cover to long-term placements.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism.
- Help students access learning and engage positively in the classroom.
- Support communication, social development and emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and wider support staff.
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, autism, SEMH or additional needs.
- A patient, resilient and positive approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience gained in schools, care settings, youth work, residential care, support work, sports coaching or similar transferable environments is welcomed.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to individual pupil needs.
