Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on a daily supply basis across a range of secondary schools in the Kirklees area.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, youth workers, sports coaches, or education professionals looking for flexible work within local secondary schools.
The Role
As a Daily Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-set lesson work across a variety of subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task throughout lessons
- Provide a positive and supportive learning environment
- Report back to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
- Adapt confidently to different school settings and year groups
No planning or marking is required.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or support capacity
- Possess strong classroom management and communication skills
- Be confident leading classes independently
- Be flexible, professional, and adaptable
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Be able to provide suitable references covering recent employment
