SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Slough Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-Time Only) Salary: £110 - £130 per day
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Slough, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their academic, social and personal development goals.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or Support Worker with a passion for working with children and young people with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
- Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Implement individual learning plans, EHCP targets and personalised support strategies.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to promote positive pupil outcomes.
- Support positive behaviour, engagement, independence and inclusion throughout the school day.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of SEN, safeguarding, behaviour management and inclusive education.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN or Education and Childcare are desirable, but not essential.
