The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support them in achieving their potential.
- Encourage a passion for reading, writing, and communication.
- Contribute to departmental development and wider school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English.
- Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Can motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
- Is committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative school team.

Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
