Veritas Education is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Kirklees. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about mathematics and committed to helping students develop confidence, resilience, and success in the subject.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment.
The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilities.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing targeted support where required.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
- Contribute to departmental development and school-wide initiatives.
- Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes and developing a positive attitude towards mathematics.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
- Has excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Can inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Is committed to raising standards and delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative school team.

Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
