Biology Teacher Required - Wigan
Veritas Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Wigan for an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology Teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates. The school is looking for a teacher who can bring Biology to life, encourage scientific curiosity, and support students in achieving excellent outcomes.
The Role
As a Biology Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire students to develop a passion for science and scientific enquiry.
- Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback.
- Contribute to the wider Science Department and school community.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and attendance.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Biology within a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to raising student attainment and achievement.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
