Primary schools across Wakefield and Kirklees are seeking caring, committed SEN Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs. As a recruitment agency Specialising in SEND and mainstream support, Veritas Education is looking for individuals who can make a genuine difference in a child's school experience.
These roles are ideal for people with patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role
- 1:1 SEN support for pupils with needs such as Autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, learning delays, and social‑emotional needs
- Supporting children within EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on the school's requirements
- Helping pupils access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence
- Working closely with class teachers and SEND teams to deliver personalised strategies
- Encouraging independence, positive behaviour, and social interaction
- Creating a calm, nurturing and safe learning environment
We Are Looking For
- Experience supporting children or adults with SEN, disabilities or additional needs
- Candidates from backgrounds such as:
- Care & support work
- Residential childcare
- Youth work
- Nursery or early years settings
- Teaching Assistant roles
- Mental health support
- Healthcare or community support
