Veritas Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs in secondary schools across Rossendale from September.

The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to students with additional needs on a one-to-one basis
- Assist pupils in accessing learning and achieving their individual targets
- Support students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Build positive relationships and encourage confidence and independence
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
