Veritas Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Huddersfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students through engaging Religious Education lessons and contribute to a supportive and ambitious school community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering critical thinking, discussion, and an understanding of different beliefs, values, and cultures.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach RE across KS3 and KS4.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities where appropriate.
- Uphold the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about promoting tolerance, respect, and cultural understanding.
- Has strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
