A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wickford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across the classroom, working closely with teachers to help children engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will provide support on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and within whole-class activities, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons
Encourage pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Promote positive behaviour and independence
Support classroom organisation and learning activities
Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and parents where appropriate
Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Requirements
Essential:
GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, patient, and nurturing approach
Desirable:
Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant
Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related subject
