A welcoming and well-established nursery in Wickford is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Room Leader to lead their 3-4-year-old room on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional to join a friendly and supportive team. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the preschool room, ensuring children receive outstanding care while delivering engaging learning experiences that support their development through the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the daily running of the 3-4-year-old room
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS Framework
Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing
Lead, motivate, and support Early Years Practitioners within the room
Build positive relationships with parents and carers
Complete observations, assessments, and learning journals
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
Requirements
Essential:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or above)
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting
Experience leading a room or supervising staff
Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
Paediatric First Aid qualification
Experience preparing children for transition into Reception
A positive, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach
