Early Years Teaching Assistant - Primary (SEN Support) Location: Kirklees Start Date: September Contract: Flexible (Full-time / Part-time opportunities available)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years (EY) Teaching Assistant to work within primary schools across Kirklees, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact on children's learning and development. You will be working either on a 1:1 basis or with small groups, helping pupils to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assist with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support children's social, emotional, and academic development
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement support plans
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
- Experience working within Early Years or primary settings
- A flexible approach to working across different year groups
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, nurturing and proactive attitude
