Veritas Education are currently recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support a range of secondary schools in Wigan. We are looking for skilled and committed individuals available for day-to-day and short-term cover roles.
The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum
- Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN and behavioural support
- Help maintain strong classroom behaviour and engagement
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting
- Understanding of supporting students with SEN and additional needs
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- A proactive, flexible approach
