Veritas Education are currently recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support a range of secondary schools in Bury. We are looking for skilled, committed individuals available for day-to-day and short-term cover, providing vital classroom and student support.
The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons
- Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to support student progress
- Assist students with varying needs, including SEN and behavioural support
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive atmosphere across the school
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting
- Strong understanding of supporting students with additional needs (including SEN)
- Confident behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
