Learning Support Assistant - Secondary Schools East Lancashire (Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Blackburn & Ribble Valley) Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term Roles Veritas Education
Veritas Education are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools throughout East Lancashire, including Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Blackburn and the Ribble Valley.
We have a variety of opportunities available, including flexible day-to-day supply, short-term cover and long-term placements. This is an ideal role for individuals passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact in education.
The Role: * Provide in-class support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 * Work one-to-one or with small groups, including pupils with SEN * Support students with a range of additional needs, including behavioural and learning difficulties * Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management * Encourage student engagement and promote a positive learning environment * Adapt to different school settings and requirements
Requirements: * Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting (desirable) * A patient, supportive and adaptable approach * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
