Our education recruitment agency is currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a successful secondary school in the Bermondsey area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous school-based experience who enjoys working with young people and supporting learning in the classroom.
Salary
- Actual salary: £26,887 - £28,476
- LGPS Pension Scheme and additional employee benefits
Contract
- 12-month fixed-term contract
- 37.5 hours per week
- Term time only (38 weeks per year)
- Start date: September 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes during teacher absences
- Deliver and oversee pre-set lesson work
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour
- Support students with learning activities
- Take registers and report absences
- Liaise with teaching staff to ensure lessons run smoothly
- Provide administrative or student support when required
Requirements
- A Levels or equivalent qualifications
- Experience working with young people aged 11-16
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting
- Good behaviour management and communication skills
- Knowledge of SEN and learning barriers is desirable
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
