The Role
You will take responsibility for a Year 4 class with mixed abilities, delivering high-quality lessons that engage, challenge, and support all learners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 National Curriculum
- Differentiating effectively to meet the needs of all pupils
- Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress to drive attainment
- Creating a positive, well-managed classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school development
The school encourages creative teaching approaches, allowing staff to make the most of available resources and deliver inspiring lessons.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4
- Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and classroom practice
- Be confident in behaviour management and maintaining high expectations
- Be organised, proactive, and passionate about raising standards
- Work well as part of a team and contribute to school life
