A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Hammersmith is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team from September. This Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting a pupil with SEN on a 1:1 basis, alongside assisting within the wider classroom environment. For experienced Teaching Assistants and those new to the education sector, this is an excellent opportunity for a graduate seeking Teaching Assistant experience before teacher training, or for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to progress within a supportive and thriving primary school setting.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

* Support pupils to make strong academic and social progress under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO* Deliver targeted interventions on a 1:1 or small-group basis as a Teaching Assistant* Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment* Support pupils with emotional or social barriers to learning* Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff* Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

Person Specification for the Teaching Assistant:

* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable* A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred* A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners* Strong communication and teamwork skills* A positive attitude and willingness to learn as a Teaching Assistant
