Veritas Education is recruiting an inspiring and creative Part-Time Drama Teacher to work within one of our welcoming secondary schools in the Kirklees area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to deliver high-quality Drama lessons and contribute to the wider creative arts curriculum.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that encourage confidence, collaboration, and creativity. You will work closely with the Performing Arts department to support curriculum development and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.

- Experienced Drama Teachers
- Early Career Teachers with a specialism in Drama
- Teachers seeking a part-time role within a supportive school environment
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Preparing students for assessments and practical performances
- Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports pupil participation
- Contributing to departmental planning and extracurricular activities where appropriate
- Managing behaviour in line with school and DfE policies
- Ensuring safeguarding and compliance procedures are always followed
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Drama and the arts
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- A professional approach aligned with school and DfE guidelines
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
