SEN Tutor Salary: £155 - £185 per day (Depending on Experience) Contract: Full-time permanent Location: Hounslow
About the Role
A specialist Section Post-16 provision in Hounslow is seeking an experienced and motivated SEN Tutor to support young people aged 16-25 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and learning disabilities.
You will deliver small group, differentiated teaching across employability pathways, Functional Skills (English & Maths) and PSHE, helping learners build confidence, independence and nationally recognised qualifications.
This role is ideal for an SEN Teacher, SEND Tutor, Functional Skills Tutor or Post-16 Lecturer passionate about inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned to national standards
- Embed English, Maths and British Values into teaching
- Assess learners using RARPA and maintain individual learning plans
- Monitor progress and attend learner reviews
- Support safeguarding, behaviour management and health & safety compliance
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Experience teaching or tutoring learners with SEN / SEND / Learning Disabilities
- Level 3 Maths and English, PGCE or Degree in Education.
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce)
- IT proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Safeguarding/Prevent training
