Veritas Education is currently seeking experienced Behaviour Mentors for a specialist school in the borough of Bromley to begin as soon as possible. You will be working with students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and behavioural needs. You will be resilient, supportive, and committed to helping young people succeed in a structured and nurturing environment.
About the Role:As a Behaviour Mentor, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring and support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping manage challenging situations
- Supporting students' academic and emotional development in class
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff to implement personalised support strategies
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Possesses strong behaviour management skills
- Has experience using effective mentoring, learning, and engagement strategies
- Is enthusiastic, proactive, and patient
- Can build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff
- Has a background in youth work, support work, care, or education (highly valued)
