RE Teacher - Blackburn
Start: February Half Term Duration: Until Easter (with potential to extend) Location: Blackburn Position: Full-time
We are seeking a qualified RE Teacher to join a secondary school in Blackburn from February half term. This role includes teaching Year 11 and potentially post‑16, so we are specifically looking for a specialist Religious Education teacher.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification specialising in Religious Education
- Have experience teaching RE up to GCSE (A‑Level experience desirable)
- Be confident delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons
- Support strong academic and personal outcomes for students
- Be available from February half term until Easter, with the possibility of extension

- Experience
- Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education, with the ability to teach confidently up to GCSE (and ideally post‑16). Effective classroom management and the ability to create a positive, focused learning environment. Strong lesson planning and delivery skills, ensuring engaging and accessible teaching for all learners. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
