Are you a creative, passionate, and resilient Art Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people? We have a great SEN school seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join our team and inspire pupils with a wide range of additional needs-including autism, complex learning difficulties, communication needs, and SEMH.Art Teacher Role:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with diverse needs
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring classroom environment
- Use visual aids, sensory resources, and creative teaching strategies
- Work closely with therapists, TAs, and the wider SEN team
- Celebrate pupil progress through exhibitions, displays, and creative projects
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Art Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Passionate about inclusive teaching and creative learning
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
- Skilled at differentiating work for varying abilities
- Confident working with pupils with complex needs
- Able to build positive, supportive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
