Examinations Manager
Start Date: March 2026 Location: Medway Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Grade B1 (NJC Points 20-30) £32,597 - £40,777 pro rata Closing Date: 26 January 2026
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Medway for an experienced and highly organised Examinations Manager to start in March 2026.
This is a key post with responsibility for the coordination, administration, and secure delivery of all internal and external examinations. The successful candidate will ensure that examinations are managed efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with awarding body regulations.
Working Pattern
37 hours per week: 8:00am-4:00pm (3:30pm finish on Fridays)
Includes a 30-minute lunch break
Term time plus two additional weeks (aligned with examination results periods)
Flexible working options available, including some working from home
Opportunity to take a proportion of annual leave during term time, subject to operational needs
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full examination cycle, including entries, timetabling, invigilation, and results
Ensure strict adherence to awarding body regulations and examination security requirements
Maintain accurate records and systems related to exams administration
Work calmly and methodically under pressure, meeting strict deadlines
Liaise effectively with staff, students, parents, and external bodies
About You
Proven experience in examinations administration or a similar role
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Calm, professional approach with the ability to manage competing deadlines
Confident working independently and as part of a wider team
Clear understanding of confidentiality and exam integrity

The role is based at a non-selective, co-educational secondary school for students aged 11-18, located on a single modern site with free parking. The school occupies state-of-the-art facilities and places strong emphasis on student development, academic achievement, and community values.
