About the Role
Secondary schools across the Rossendale area of Lancashire are seeking confident, adaptable, and proactive Cover Supervisors to support their teams on a day‑to‑day and short‑term basis. Working through Veritas Education, you'll step into classrooms to deliver pre‑planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity for students in the absence of their usual teacher.
What You'll Be Doing
Delivering pre‑set lessons across a range of subjects
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a calm, productive environment
Supporting students with their learning and engagement
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
Providing feedback to teaching staff after each lesson
What We're Looking For
Experience working with young people (school‑based experience ideal but not essential)
Strong communication and behaviour‑management skills
Confidence leading a classroom without direct teacher supervision
A flexible, reliable and positive approach
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
