Location: South Lancaster Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Long-term (until permanent appointment - potential to go permanent) Hours: 09:00 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
Veritas Education is seeking a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 2 pupil in a small, welcoming primary school. The pupil has additional needs but no behavioural issues, making this a rewarding and supportive role.
This is a long-term position starting in January 2026 and will continue until the school appoints permanently. There is potential for the successful candidate to secure a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual needs.
- Assist with learning activities and help the pupil access the curriculum.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Level 2 TA qualification (essential).
- Must be a driver due to the school's location.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning support.
