Veritas Education is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join a thriving two-form entry OFSTED-rated primary school in Islington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning across a diverse and inclusive school community.
About the Role
You will work across all classes, supporting pupils from Early Years through to Key Stage 2. The role involves assisting class teachers, supporting individual learners, and helping to deliver high-quality learning experiences throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to teachers across various year groups depending on school needs.
- Assist with classroom activities, group work and 1:1 support.
- Help maintain a structured, positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils with a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Contribute to lesson preparation and general classroom organisation.
- Build positive working relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting (highly desirable).
- Confidence in working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
- A proactive, flexible and supportive approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
