Are you a passionate and resilient educator with experience supporting children and young people with additional needs? A small, specialist independent school in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis, starting in January or possibly sooner.
The school caters to pupils aged 6-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism. It offers a nurturing and structured environment where every child is supported to thrive both academically and personally. The curriculum is designed to ensure that students are well-prepared for their next steps post-16, whether that be further education, training, or employment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have QTS
- Have experience working with children and young people with SEMH and/or Autism.
- Be patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a strong 'can-do' attitude.
- Be committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Be confident in managing challenging behaviours and building trusting relationships.
- Hold a DBS on the update service
