About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our supportive and forward-thinking primary school team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their teaching career in a nurturing environment that values professional development and pupil success.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
- Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies in accordance with school policy.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development.
- Participate in school events, extra-curricular activities, and contribute to the wider school community.
- Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Degree-level qualification.
- GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science (for primary) at grade C/4 or above.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
Desirable Experience & Skills
- Successful completion of teaching placements across different key stages.
- Knowledge of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
- Strong understanding of assessment for learning and progress tracking.
- Ability to use creative and innovative approaches to engage pupils.
- Commitment to professional development and reflective practice.
